On the agenda: Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park. We started the day with the same as I did ten years ago: visiting the tree General Grant. Afterwards I wanted to lead Stefan to a nice panoramic point. The road was steep and very narrow and at the end: no panoramic view.. But the road was fun. Next we went to the far end of Kings Canyon. The road follows the river through the canyon resulting in a very beautiful scenery. At the end of the canyon: heavy rain.

We took the road back to the start and drove to the largest tree (in volume): Â General Sherman. Lot has changed in the 10 years. A branch of 2 meter in diameter has fallen of in 2006. And we could not park near the tree anymore. The parking lot was now a bit further away with a trail descending to it. For some Americans quite steep. At the end Sherman looked like erm.. Sherman. Like it was ten years ago. With one branch less of course.

We ended our tour in Sequoia National park at the Moro Rock. It was a steep climb yet again to the top of this magnificent bare rock, with an awesome view.

Afterwards we drove out of the park and ended up in a very nice Super 8 motel in a town called Lindsay.

It was time to spend our last day in the national parks.
