This site was hosted on a VPS I rented with a couple of friends. Of course we ran in some problems. Lots of times we had to reboot our server because it ran out of the memory we shared with other VPS’s on the same machine. At least that is what I understood about it. So we decided to buy our own server and got a good deal for hosting it somewhere. We went to Red Bus in Amsterdam to install the server over there ourselves.

Installing it was a piece of cake. Getting there was a different story. Mate of mine insisted on having a portable navigation system to take us there. I am old-fashioned and still do not trust those things. And of course I was right because instread of bringing us to Red Bus it took us straight to the Dam which is in the heart of Amsterdam. Fun place for a tourist but not for me who does not want to be there in the traffic chaos. But we managed.

I am definately not a genious in the kitchen. I like to have a good meal. But I am waaay too lazy to spend too much time cooking. And I lack the creativity.

So I thought it was time to get my cooking skills some boost so I bought me a wok. As the lazy guy I am I decided to buy a teflon one. So on the first day to try it out. I decided to make me some nice Asian food. It was quite nice and I was a bit surprised. One thing…. burn mark in my teflon wok….

Using soap to clean it is a no can do. So I decided to put some water in the wok and let it cook. Unfortunately Top Gear was on and I forgot my wok with boiling water….

So now I have a perfect ruined 24 hour old wok. Oh well it still can be used.. But now I know what I should not do :-)

So like I mentioned in my old blog. The Gathering concert was yesterday. Me and my brother were looking forward to it, stepped in the car and parked it in the neighbourhood of the concert hall. Halfway walking from car to hall I noticed a Simplon poster (Yes the one where we had the Epica concert a month back). I saw Green Lizard having a concert! …. on the May 12th… I had a flashback right away to May 2000 where they had an awesome concert on Pinkpop. To me they were a real eye-opener. When we were approaching the hall it was too quiet, no people outside, when we walked in our fears were confirmed: The Gathering was canceled. Anneke the lead singer is having a bacterial infection and is not able to perform. So I asked for the phone number of Simplon right away to ask if there were still tickets available for the Green Lizard concert, and yes there were!

When Green Lizard performs on stage they give everything they have got. Even when it is a small audience.. and a small audience it was. It is very difficult to guess but I think there were only about 100 people in the audience. But an awesome concert it was. Lots of new stuff I had not heard, so time for me to buy new CDs.

Today is May 5th. The day we dutch celebrate our liberation from germans. Now 61 years ago. It is a bank holiday, atleast when you work for the government like I do :-) I just got back from a nice bike tour with my friends (yes I drive a motorcycle) and now I am sitting on my balcony with a nice beer, enjoying the view and writing this blogpost. Why? because it is around 25 degrees Celsius (77F for the lazy bastards). Which is rare even in summer
